Ismail Tennis Training (ITT) has developed a revolutionary U12 program that focuses on three main pillars :
  1. Athletic Development - ABC’s: Agility, balance and coordination
  2. Game Based Development

  • Safeplay certified coaches - All coaches have had background checks and completed training to prepare them to work with young people. 
  • Play and Engage- coaches provide an open format style for free play. The players engage in their own court space throughout the entire class. 
  • Stop, Show, and Go approach- coaches show short demonstrations and then give the players freedom to explore skills in free play. 
  • Progressive order teaching style- simple to complex, static to dynamic, close to far, easy to difficult, slow to fast
  • Pedagogy - combines tennis with the  best practices that teachers use in schools to educate and engage children
  • Scholarship program - players that graduate our 12U program can earn scholarships to further their training if they need financial assistance

Choosing the Correct Program

  • Newer players who still need to develop basic pre-rally and athletic skills will start in the Red Ball program
  • Players who are competent with the Red Ball will then be advanced onto the Orange Ball program

*** Just like in other sports it is most effective to not move players into a higher level unless they have achieved the appropriate skill competencies. Typically, players will need to repeat a level 2-3 times before advancing
